Frequently Asked Questions
Junior Suite FAQs
What does the Junior Suite at Grand Park Royal Cozumel look out on?
The suite has a furnished balcony overlooking the hotel gardens. The resort's two towers hold roughly 342–348 rooms, most with private balconies and many with sea views, so this is a garden outlook rather than an ocean one. It suits guests who want a quiet place to sit outside more than a waterfront panorama.
How are the beds set up, and who does the Junior Suite sleep?
The 506 sq. ft. suite has one bedroom with a king bed and sleeps 2 guests. That makes it a natural fit for a couple or two travelling companions who want a double-sized bed and a bit of extra room. Connecting rooms are available if your party is larger.
What is the bathroom like?
The Junior Suite has a private bathroom with a shower. It comes stocked with free toiletries, including shampoo, soap and toilet paper, and towels are changed on request. A hair dryer is available on request from the staff.
What is included with a Junior Suite stay?
Grand Park Royal Cozumel is an all-inclusive resort. Your stay includes a free buffet breakfast, multiple on-site restaurants and bars, the kids' club and beach cabanas and loungers. Non-motorized water sports are included too. In the room you also get free bottled water, a minibar with some complimentary items and 24-hour room service. Spa treatments and babysitting carry a surcharge.
What is in the room for working or relaxing?
There is a 42-inch LED TV with cable channels, a coffee and tea maker, a desk, a wardrobe, a phone and a laptop-compatible safe. Blackout drapes and air conditioning help with sleep, and an iron and ironing board are provided. Daily housekeeping is included. Free Wi-Fi is available in the resort's public areas.
Is the Junior Suite a good choice for couples or families?
The resort is family-friendly but not adults-only, so the suite works for both. Couples can use the adults-only infinity pool area with its adjoining whirlpool, and the adults-only pool bar and Sports Bar. Families can request a free crib and use the children's pool and the kids' club. The suite sleeps 2, so larger families may want connecting rooms.
How close is the beach, and what is there to do on it?
The resort sits on a small private beach reached through a private underpass from the main garden. The water is calm and clear, with snorkelling right off the shore, and guests have access to Paradise Reef on the hotel beach. Beachfront snack bars and cabanas are on hand, and non-motorized water sports are included.
Where will I eat, and are there rules I should know about?
La Veranda is the main buffet, overlooking the gardens and pool. It serves breakfast from 7:00 to 11:30 a.m., lunch from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and dinner from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. The à la carte restaurants include Mexican, Italian, Caribbean and seafood options. Several, such as El Caribeño, El Italiano and Palmares at dinner, are for guests over 12 only. Some have dress codes, and Frida Mexican Kitchen requires reservations.
Will the evening entertainment be noisy?
The resort has nightly live entertainment in its open-air amphitheater, and the adults-only Sports Bar just off the main entrance and lobby has DJs until 2:00 AM. If you prefer a quieter night, those are the areas to keep in mind when choosing how late to stay out. Your balcony overlooks the gardens.
What are check-in details, and how far is the resort from the airport and cruise terminal?
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is at noon. The front desk is open 24 hours, and guests must be at least 18 and show photo ID and a credit card. Early check-in and late check-out are possible for a fee, subject to availability. Cozumel International Airport is about a 10-minute drive away, downtown San Miguel is roughly 5 minutes by car, and the cruise terminal is about a 10-minute walk.
