La Veranda is the main buffet, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The à la carte restaurants include El Caribeño, El Mexicano, El Italiano, Frida Mexican Kitchen, Palmares and Velina. Frida requires reservations. El Caribeño, El Italiano and Palmares at dinner are for guests over 12. Several restaurants have dress codes, such as long trousers for men at El Caribeño at dinner, and no shorts, T-shirts or sandals at Palmares and Velina. Café Solé serves coffee, sandwiches and ice cream from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
What is the evening atmosphere like at the resort?
There is live entertainment every night at the open-air amphitheater, included in your stay. The Sports Bar, just off the main entrance and lobby, has DJs and sports broadcasts. It is an adults-only venue open from 6:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Bar Chac Mool in the lower lobby is open until midnight.
What should I know about arrival and getting to the resort?
Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and check-out is at noon. Guests must be 18 or older to check in and show a photo ID and credit card, and accompanying minors need a birth certificate or school ID with photo. Early check-in and late check-out are available for a fee, subject to availability. Cozumel International Airport is about a 10-minute drive away. The cruise terminal is about a 10-minute walk, and Royal Village Shopping Center is next to the resort. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas, and the property is smoke-free overall.
